Major Hugh Moss Chapter is located in Modesto, Stanislaus County, California. Meetings are usually held the second Saturday of the month from September to May. For information about chapter business and meetings contact Karen Montgomery, regent. For information about membership, contact Julia A. Bordona, registrar.

Objectives/Goals

History:  Assist in lineage research, contribute books and records to DAR Library, have historical and American heritage programs, and identify and mark area historical sites and graves.

Education:  Send labels and monetary support to NSDAR schools, give scholarship awards to high school seniors, and sponsor DAR Good Citizens awards.

Patriotism:  Present DAR Youth Citizenship awards to eighth graders, contribute personal items and needs to Modesto veterans, display flags on national holidays, attend veteran memorials, and give scholarships and medals to local ROTC units.
